FAQ

What makes our fish mounts better?

Actually, there are several very good companies in the US and Canada who do superb work. Many of them use our replicas for their mounts combined with their creative artistic skills even when they have their own molds for making reproductions. The simple truth is that our processes of silicone molding with our proprietary fins and unique mouth detail provide a product far superior to any that can be gotten from the old traditional fiberglass molds. Also, because of the large volume that we do, our painters have been able to hone their skills to a very high standard in order to capture that real look.

How long will it take to get my trophy mount?

At the present time our lead time is approximately 24 weeks.

How do we ship the product?

Within a six state region from Minnesota we can comfortably ship via SpeeDee with one to two day delivery at very reasonable rates. We service the rest of the USA via UPS or for very large fish we use a common carrier on a pallet. The US Postal service is used for Canada and Alaska.  Our special foam packaging process protects against virtually all damage.

What species do we provide?

Check our extensive list on the Home page. If you don’t find what you’re looking for in our lists, give us a call. We are a major player in the industry so we often know where we can find what you may be looking for.

What do you need to match my fish?

The best information is the length and girth although weight can be used in place of girth. We prefer to have your good picture to paint to but if you don’t have one, you can look at our pictures and indicate which one you would like it to look like.

Can you customize a scene for me to enhance the mount?

We do customized scenes every day to create that perfect setting using our unique molding processes for rocks, our huge supply of unique driftwood and our many other forms of mounting materials.

How and when do I pay for it.

We accept payment via Visa, Mastercard or Discover Card or via check. We require 50% as a down payment before we accept the order. The remaining 50% plus shipping will be charged when the product is ready to ship.

I have a fish in the freezer. Can you mold it in order to make a replica for me?

We can but it is an expensive process to make a mold. If it happens to be something unique that will benefit our line for the future, we can discuss some special considerations.
